water based detoxing

this week i skipped working out again. i hate to say skipped bc skipped makes me seem like i'm lazy lol. i think my pattern is going to be something like this monthly.. week1: workout week2: workout week3: detox week4: workout.

this was my first detox.. ever. and it brought me down 4 lbs. from the beginning of the week to the end of the week. i usually don't weigh myself but i was curious to see how much it would help. considering i am breastfeeding exclusively i had to talk to my doctor before trying this and i suggest you do to if you are a BFing mom! my doctor said that as long as it is a water based detox and not just a water detox. the difference? a water detox is usually strictly water, steamed veggies, and fruit. a water based detox is continuing what you would eat/drink (healthy of course) on a daily basis but adding 60 oz of infused water on top of it.

i found this water based detox on pintrest but since this is going to be a monthly thing i've done a bit of research to come up with a few so that i don't get bored of just one. each water based detox is organic and is beneficial to your body in some way (other then it just being good to add that much water to your diet!)

drink each 60 oz detox mixture every day for a week straight on top of what you eat/drink daily
* i suggest making the drink the night before and letting it steep in the fridge. especially the ones that use fruit as a sweetener!
