baby-led weaning update

i would of liked to update you all more often in our baby-led weaning/baby-led solids journey but i've been so busy IN THE KITCHEN. hah. i am proud to say that my son, at 8 and a half months, eats anything i put in front of him.. no matter the size, taste, or texture. he is independent and enjoys every second that he is in his high chair. ::knock on wood:: we have had not one single choking incident. the best part.. he has not lost interest in the boob so we are still successfully feeding 5-7 times a day on top of 3 solid food meals.

he loves to eat.

if you happen to follow us on instagram, you will see that 90% of my pictures are of him eating and me being proud/excited/ridiculous.

btw, i might just add that he either takes a bath or at least gets wiped down good after every time he eats. BLW gets messy. but it's worth every single second.

baby-led weaning

we did it. we got through our first month. already he has made a drastic improvement in what he's eating and how much he's actually taking in.

what is it? it's pretty much a more complicated way of saying that you will be giving them the opportunity to eat what you are eating, no pureed food, learning fine motor skills and picking up their own food/spoon to feed them self at their own pace.

if you are new to baby-led weaning or have never heard of it before, here's where i learned more..
